The Abaco Insurance Agency has come on board as the main sponsor for the event. All junior entry fees, lunch, prizes, and transportation in Abaco have been provided/covered by the sponsor.

Junior golfers interested in flying to Abaco for the event are encouraged to contact Bahamasair and use the group name “The Front 9” and the group code JXKBYT. The tournament is raising funds to reduce the cost of tickets for junior golfers. For those who book travel arrangements, they will be reimbursed up to $100 per junior golfer.
Junior golfers are asked to register for the event by today, so that final travel numbers could be confirmed.
“This is a walking event, but we will arrange for the transport of pull carts prior to the trip,” read a press release on the event. “We will have a number of awards presented to players over 2018, but to earn the maximum number of points, (junior golfers must) be sure to participate in as many events as they can.”
‘The Front 9’ Junior Golf Tour will encompass 20-plus events for 2018.
Also coming soon for junior golfers are a pair of clinics being staged in conjunction with the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Classic. The clinics are set for January 20 and 23, and the classic itself will run from January 25–28, at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island, The Bahamas.
The Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic carries a total purse of $1.4 million.
